I Wonder If The Stars Regret Me?

So... I've been quite quiet for the last few weeks. I hope to catch up with everything soon (and start on your story, bradygirl_12!) but I need to give my hands a rest first.

Because I've just finished writing a very long story, entirely for my own amusement that I doubt I'll ever share (because it won't make sense to anyone else, LOL) that's... well.

I started writing it on the 2nd September. By the 3rd or 4th day it was clear it was going to be long, so I thought 'oh, I'll have my own little unofficial NaNoWriMo thing'.

On the 13th day I broke 50,000 words. On the 20th I broke 100,000. And, today, finished, it stands at just under 155,000 words. Written in 29 days.

So... I need to go and fall over, for a bit! But I hope that I'll be back around on Sunday, properly. *hugs flist*

Ask me anything you want about any of my stories: how I thought of the idea, what I did to write it, what I was thinking when I wrote it, what I feel about it now, what I wish I'd done differently, etc. Or ask any of the characters from particular stories something you want to know, and get an answer from them. Or both.

The chapter I just posted of 'Batman's Files and Bruce's Diary' is going to be the last for a while. I don't know when the next chapter will be up, but I'm thinking maybe Dick's birthday. Maybe. But I'm basically going to be writing it when I feel like writing it, rather than feeling obligated to write it everyday.

I've been treading close to having a burn out for the last 3 weeks, and I think writing that everyday, as well as writing another story at the same time, something that I really don't like doing, has been draining me a lot. I also have some issues, as people have no doubt realized, about characterization, and the feeling that I have no real grasp on any of the characters I'm writing, or hope to write. So I'm going to be re-reading comics.

I'm also going to be taking a little break from fandom. Maybe just 3-4 days or something. I just need to... recharge, and relax for a bit. I'm going to try to keep up with the flist, but I will probably get behind in e-mails and stuff. I'm going to keep up with anything related to jsa_allstars, of course. Oh, and Jen, I hope to get the essay to you soon, but it might not be until next Thursday or Friday now. I'm not sure.

I'll be posting the next chapter of Master and Slave tomorrow, but I don't know when I'm next going to be posting any other fic. I'm going to be concentrating on writing AU's for the time being, with an exception of a Charlie drabble.

So... if I'm a bit quieter, that's why! :)

We have heating again!!! :D

My new radiator is all up and running, and its working and not leaking! Yay! :D Everything (should!) be back to normal now. *sighs in relief* And just in time for the coldness, too!

I have written 3 of the requests for my anniversary, and I hope to get them up over the next few days, as well as the other ones! :)

I've got my claims for the WFGE finished! Whee! I am... not very happy with them, though. Everyone is OOC. But... *shrugs* With the bunnies I had for them, I couldn't do anything else.

I'm going to get started on a fic I promised rai_daydreamer this weekend! And then I have bunny for a Tim fic - where I got a Tim!Muse from, I have no idea - and I want to write drabbles at least for people's wish lists. And I want to get back to the second arc of the slave fic. I've got about a quarter of the way through that one, but I get very... worked up about leaving fic unfinished like that. It's one of my rules that I never start another fic while I'm already writing one. But I had prompt requests, and then bunnies, and then the WFGE... So I want to finish that after I've got the wish lists done. Then I'm going to start on my table! :D 6 prompts for Bruce/Clark, six for Michael/Pieter. *happy sigh* Which reminds me that I need a Michael/Pieter icon!

I'm going to do the Christmas Cards tomorrow! So it's the last chance if anyone wants one! :)

It's really cold here tonight! There's already a frost on the cars, and it's not 8pm yet! The moon looks so beautiful, though. :) So would the stars, if I could see any from my window, lol.

Um... what else? Oh! I'm going to be finally posting my fic for greeneyelove's Starter Sentence Challenge very soon! Only a month late, I know. LOL. I'm also looking over two fics from my deaf universe that I may be posting soon! Whee!

Things have been quiet over the last few days. My wrists getting better, the wound is healing up nicely now. It's all pink! LOL. My wrist itself is very stiff, but is very veeerrryyyy slowly loosening up.

There's no change in my grandmother's condition. She's still waiting to be transferred to a special ward. But, there's a long waiting list, so who knows when she will be?

We're having some new windows put in Wednesday-Friday, so I will be hiding in my room, reading comics and writing fic! Whee! I'm hoping to write bradygirl_12's, arch_schatten's, rai_daydreamer's and taro_twist's prompt requests then. :) Have to see how the muse goes.

Talking of fic, I've finished the Halloween fic! It's much longer than I expected it to be, and I think it's going to be broken up into 4 chapters, but I'm not sure yet. I will be posting it over Halloween week. I think Halloween is a Wednesday this year? Well, I'll be posting it that week anyway. :)

Talking of Halloween, I've got the materials in for making this years Halloween jewelery. I'm putting aside the next 3 weeks to make it, since I don't know how my wrist is going to react to having to do work. LOL. Then, in October, get the Christmas stuff in, and start selling it about mid November, I think. That sounds a good time, if not before. Have to think about the postage dates! I'm also working with my brother on redesigning my website, and starting a special gift-wrapping service. Then in November and December, I need to think about what I'm going to have in my New Year's Sale! So I'm going to be busier than normal until Christmas. :) But I'll still be posting fic! LOL

Oh, does anyone know if there's going to be a Secret Santa and World's Finest Awards this year? (Since I'm thinking about Christmas, LOL) Or were they one offs?

Um, I cheated a bit, as there is more than 5 fics under the cut. It was difficult to choose these, as some of my favorite ones are ones that I haven't posted yet. But of the ones that I have... here they are.

I'm about a day behind on flist. I might get even more behind on weekend, but I'll try and catch up with it.

I had a good time in London. Well, I got shineys , so... :)

I got some Batman books, and Superman For All Seasons, which I blame completely on jen_in_japan with her 'Canon For The Deluded' posts. ;)

I also got some B:TAS dvd's. The first half of the first season. And thanks to the random guy who pointed out the ones that had more episodes on and were cheaper than the ones I was looking at. :) I've also ordered the second half of the first season, since HMV are having a sale. They were dispatched today, so I'll probably get them around mid next week sometime. :)

Somehow, I managed to pull a muscle in my leg while I was there, that I further aggravated today, so I spent the latter part of it limping. :( Hopefully it will get better soon.

I've got a busy weekend, but I hope to squeeze in some fic writing time sometime. I've got some new bunnys...

Talking of B:TAS, how cute is the episode, 'Beware the Gray Ghost?' Bruce is such a fanboy!
