I Wonder If The Stars Regret Me?

The chapter I just posted of 'Batman's Files and Bruce's Diary' is going to be the last for a while. I don't know when the next chapter will be up, but I'm thinking maybe Dick's birthday. Maybe. But I'm basically going to be writing it when I feel like writing it, rather than feeling obligated to write it everyday.

I've been treading close to having a burn out for the last 3 weeks, and I think writing that everyday, as well as writing another story at the same time, something that I really don't like doing, has been draining me a lot. I also have some issues, as people have no doubt realized, about characterization, and the feeling that I have no real grasp on any of the characters I'm writing, or hope to write. So I'm going to be re-reading comics.

I'm also going to be taking a little break from fandom. Maybe just 3-4 days or something. I just need to... recharge, and relax for a bit. I'm going to try to keep up with the flist, but I will probably get behind in e-mails and stuff. I'm going to keep up with anything related to jsa_allstars, of course. Oh, and Jen, I hope to get the essay to you soon, but it might not be until next Thursday or Friday now. I'm not sure.

I'll be posting the next chapter of Master and Slave tomorrow, but I don't know when I'm next going to be posting any other fic. I'm going to be concentrating on writing AU's for the time being, with an exception of a Charlie drabble.

So... if I'm a bit quieter, that's why! :)

I think I might have caught arch_schatten's cold. Don't ask me how it's possible, it just is. My throat has been sore since I woke up, and it's got worse throughout the day.

I'm bored, and in the mood for typing, so I'm going to ramble about several things.

*sigh* It's been a strange day, ever since the news we had early this morning. I worked in the morning, then had the afternoon off and went with my mum to get sympathy cards. Wow, the road was nearly flooded! I don't think I've ever seen the river quite that high - it was only about 1 meter away from flooding the bridge that's normally about... 5-6 meters above the river. The field next to it was completely flooded too, and they want to build houses there!! Hello! Do the words 'flood plain' mean anything? Heck, if there were houses there the water would be above their front doors! And there's more rain on the way!

I really wish the beads I ordered would arrive. They were supposed to get here last week, and it's holding me up, not having them. *frowns* They should come tomorrow, hopefully. Eeep, it's getting really close to Valentine's Day! Next week, I will post some pics of the jewellery I've made! :)

I got Mythology - Alex Ross' book - yesterday. I've only been able to look through it briefly, but wow, it's so pretty! *wants to get Kingdom Come even more now* Of course, The Trust was my favorite part. :) *hearts Bruce and Kal*

Anyway, onto the JSA comm. I'm 95% certain that I'm going to make it. I'm probably going to need help with a name for it, though. The only thing I can come up with is 'jsa_love' or something very similar. Anyone have any thoughts? Also, does anyone have any ideas/requests for it? I'm hoping - once I've got a name for it - to have it up very soon! :)

My wrist is hurting a little. I think it's a combination of the coldness recently, and that I haven't been doing my exercises as much as I have been. But I could feel it really pulling when I bent it last night, like it was before, with the stitch protesting. *frowns a little* I'll have to step up my exercises again.

I've got the Christmas Cards done! I... have to apologize for them, really. All I can say in my defense is that It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time. I have learned, irrevocably, that I can not draw. *shrugs* But, I'm hoping to get them sent off on Wednesday. :)

I dyed my hair red on the weekend. It's a bit brighter than I was expecting. My very fair roots are now... well, gingery is the only way to describe them, I guess. LOL. But overall, I'm happy with the way it turned out.

What else... WOW! Jaffa Cakes in foil wrappers!! How shocking. /random

I went back to the hospital today to have my wrist checked up on. The wound is healing fine, but my wrist is verrrry stiff still. So, I have to go for some physiotherapy next Monday, and go back to the hospital in a months time for another check up. I had to have a stitch come out today! Apparently, my wound is healing so well that this stitch was forced to 'pop up'. And it had to be taken out. It was... interesting. The nurse tried to get it out with some tiny scissors, but that didn't work. So she had to get some large (and I mean really large) tweezers and get it out that way. It... hurt! It was not helped by my mum, who was watching, mouthing to me 'There's blood! There's BLOOD!!!!!' I was just trying not to look. But, it's all out now, and the rest of them can go back to dissolving. LOL. Is it strange that as I having it done, I was thinking, 'Wow! This can be used in a fic sometime! Bruce would have to have stitches out...' LOL

I started making the Halloween jewelery this week! It's slow going, as I'm not used to the restrictions that my wrist now has, but I've at least got some done. And I've got another... 2 and half weeks? to get the rest done. Should have plenty of time. :)

Other than that, things are quiet here. But I wish the roadworks that have been outside the house for the past... well, it's got to be 6 weeks, would go away soon. They seem to have just been abandoned... but they left the traffic lights. Which have malfunctioned at least 2 times in those 6 weeks. *sigh*

Things have been quiet over the last few days. My wrists getting better, the wound is healing up nicely now. It's all pink! LOL. My wrist itself is very stiff, but is very veeerrryyyy slowly loosening up.

There's no change in my grandmother's condition. She's still waiting to be transferred to a special ward. But, there's a long waiting list, so who knows when she will be?

We're having some new windows put in Wednesday-Friday, so I will be hiding in my room, reading comics and writing fic! Whee! I'm hoping to write bradygirl_12's, arch_schatten's, rai_daydreamer's and taro_twist's prompt requests then. :) Have to see how the muse goes.

Talking of fic, I've finished the Halloween fic! It's much longer than I expected it to be, and I think it's going to be broken up into 4 chapters, but I'm not sure yet. I will be posting it over Halloween week. I think Halloween is a Wednesday this year? Well, I'll be posting it that week anyway. :)

Talking of Halloween, I've got the materials in for making this years Halloween jewelery. I'm putting aside the next 3 weeks to make it, since I don't know how my wrist is going to react to having to do work. LOL. Then, in October, get the Christmas stuff in, and start selling it about mid November, I think. That sounds a good time, if not before. Have to think about the postage dates! I'm also working with my brother on redesigning my website, and starting a special gift-wrapping service. Then in November and December, I need to think about what I'm going to have in my New Year's Sale! So I'm going to be busier than normal until Christmas. :) But I'll still be posting fic! LOL

Oh, does anyone know if there's going to be a Secret Santa and World's Finest Awards this year? (Since I'm thinking about Christmas, LOL) Or were they one offs?

I'm going to ramble a bit before the fic, so feel free to ignore this. I'm still so behind on the flist! I think... a week now? Maybe? Anyway, I really hope to get caught up some tomorrow! I got the bandage taken off today! Yay! And I didn't have to have any stitches taken out because they are all under my skin and will dissolve or whatever they do... (Under my skin, WTF? How did they do that? LOL) Anyway, apparently they had to take quite a lot away, including some tissue and stuff, and well as some of the bone, and I have a stitch attached to the bone? To put it back in it's proper place? Ewwww... I'm not thinking about that. Anyway, it hurts! I need to bend it slightly now, to make sure I'll have full use of it again, but it hurts a lot when I get it to a certain point. Apparently, that's the stitch attached to the bone protesting. Anyway, I have to wear another bandage for the next 10 days to try and stop it swelling too much, but I can take this one off at night and I can actually wash my arm again! Wheee! It's feeling... tender. But okayish as long as I don't bend it, lol. Oh, and they sent the cyst off to the path lab and it was just a ganglion, not something bad. So, it's a relief to really know for certain. Anyway, the fic! :)

'The Puppy' has got to be the cutest book ever. It is just pages and pages and pages and pages of squee! Adorable puppies! They are going to take over the world one day, I know it. ;)

Everything in the house is dusty. We are starting to redecorate the hall, and the wood around the doors and floors has to be sanded before we paint it, and the dust is everywhere. Bleh.

It's Crufts this week! Lots of pretty doggies!! Especially Ben Fogle's dog, Inca. Inca is adorable.

The Muse has gone into overdrive. In the last 3 weeks I have written 34 stories. 34!!!!! That is more than I have ever written!! And today, I spent 45 mins writing out a timeline for a AU fic series! It's mad, all Mad!!! I also need a new notebook, as the one I am writing in now is almost full. *sigh*

I watched Cold Mountain for the first time last night. Is it wrong that when I wasn't mentally fem-slashing the Nichole Kidman character and the Renne Zellweger (or however you spell it) character, I was mentally replacing Nichole Kidman and Jude Law for Clark and Bruce? I'm crazy, I know. :D
