I Wonder If The Stars Regret Me?

I went back to the hospital today to have my wrist checked up on. The wound is healing fine, but my wrist is verrrry stiff still. So, I have to go for some physiotherapy next Monday, and go back to the hospital in a months time for another check up. I had to have a stitch come out today! Apparently, my wound is healing so well that this stitch was forced to 'pop up'. And it had to be taken out. It was... interesting. The nurse tried to get it out with some tiny scissors, but that didn't work. So she had to get some large (and I mean really large) tweezers and get it out that way. It... hurt! It was not helped by my mum, who was watching, mouthing to me 'There's blood! There's BLOOD!!!!!' I was just trying not to look. But, it's all out now, and the rest of them can go back to dissolving. LOL. Is it strange that as I having it done, I was thinking, 'Wow! This can be used in a fic sometime! Bruce would have to have stitches out...' LOL

I started making the Halloween jewelery this week! It's slow going, as I'm not used to the restrictions that my wrist now has, but I've at least got some done. And I've got another... 2 and half weeks? to get the rest done. Should have plenty of time. :)

Other than that, things are quiet here. But I wish the roadworks that have been outside the house for the past... well, it's got to be 6 weeks, would go away soon. They seem to have just been abandoned... but they left the traffic lights. Which have malfunctioned at least 2 times in those 6 weeks. *sigh*

Things have been quiet over the last few days. My wrists getting better, the wound is healing up nicely now. It's all pink! LOL. My wrist itself is very stiff, but is very veeerrryyyy slowly loosening up.

There's no change in my grandmother's condition. She's still waiting to be transferred to a special ward. But, there's a long waiting list, so who knows when she will be?

We're having some new windows put in Wednesday-Friday, so I will be hiding in my room, reading comics and writing fic! Whee! I'm hoping to write bradygirl_12's, arch_schatten's, rai_daydreamer's and taro_twist's prompt requests then. :) Have to see how the muse goes.

Talking of fic, I've finished the Halloween fic! It's much longer than I expected it to be, and I think it's going to be broken up into 4 chapters, but I'm not sure yet. I will be posting it over Halloween week. I think Halloween is a Wednesday this year? Well, I'll be posting it that week anyway. :)

Talking of Halloween, I've got the materials in for making this years Halloween jewelery. I'm putting aside the next 3 weeks to make it, since I don't know how my wrist is going to react to having to do work. LOL. Then, in October, get the Christmas stuff in, and start selling it about mid November, I think. That sounds a good time, if not before. Have to think about the postage dates! I'm also working with my brother on redesigning my website, and starting a special gift-wrapping service. Then in November and December, I need to think about what I'm going to have in my New Year's Sale! So I'm going to be busier than normal until Christmas. :) But I'll still be posting fic! LOL

Oh, does anyone know if there's going to be a Secret Santa and World's Finest Awards this year? (Since I'm thinking about Christmas, LOL) Or were they one offs?

I'm going to ramble a bit before the fic, so feel free to ignore this. I'm still so behind on the flist! I think... a week now? Maybe? Anyway, I really hope to get caught up some tomorrow! I got the bandage taken off today! Yay! And I didn't have to have any stitches taken out because they are all under my skin and will dissolve or whatever they do... (Under my skin, WTF? How did they do that? LOL) Anyway, apparently they had to take quite a lot away, including some tissue and stuff, and well as some of the bone, and I have a stitch attached to the bone? To put it back in it's proper place? Ewwww... I'm not thinking about that. Anyway, it hurts! I need to bend it slightly now, to make sure I'll have full use of it again, but it hurts a lot when I get it to a certain point. Apparently, that's the stitch attached to the bone protesting. Anyway, I have to wear another bandage for the next 10 days to try and stop it swelling too much, but I can take this one off at night and I can actually wash my arm again! Wheee! It's feeling... tender. But okayish as long as I don't bend it, lol. Oh, and they sent the cyst off to the path lab and it was just a ganglion, not something bad. So, it's a relief to really know for certain. Anyway, the fic! :)

I'm going back to the hospital tomorrow to get the bandage off at last! Yay! We suspect that I may have another, smaller bandage put on, cause, you know, they're taking stitches out. And I doubt they'll want to have them exposed straight away. Or will they? Only time will tell. LOL.

So, I'm still behind on flist. I've caught up with the comments in my journal now, I think. My hand is slowly starting to feel better. I've discovered that I've got one of those clear plaster things on under the bandage and it's making my skin wrinkle which is what's making it itch. So, it's more annoying than anything else. I can even type with both hands again! Whee!

I've been bitten by a bunny that is refusing to let go of me until I write it, and it's turned out to be much longer than I thought. I'm writing this one purely for my own enjoyment. I doubt it will see the light of day since even though it's a AU, everyone is amazingly OOC, and it's basically a rip off of bradygirl_12's Rainbow's Freedom. Also, I've been bitten by another bunny for your Halloween Challenge! :) I hope to get it done by Halloween, but I'm going to be busy making Halloween jewellery, lol.

The situation with my grandmother is... not good. She's doing okay, she's still in hospital, but we're getting the impression that she'll be put into a home after she's discharged since my uncle and aunt are 'annoyed' that she isn't going to be in hospital for that long. They've got fed up of looking after her. And they want her house to be free, being blunt. So there's most likely going to be arguments over who pays for her to go into a home since god forbid her son should pay after he's got all her money. /rant

I've heard about the whole copyright thing that's going on, but I'm not sure if I can sign any of the petitions since I'm not a US citizen. Anyone know if I can?

On a related note, I appeal to the flist for wisdom. Would a fic that has Clark/Kal (as two separate people) be considered incest? I ask because of my Bruce/Clark/Kal fic that I'm hoping to post...

I might go to Glastonbury tomorrow. Have to see how I feel. You can probably expect photos if I do! Anyway, I'm off to watch Heroes now! :)

I'm finally off the drugs! Well, almost. The ones that made me really weird. I was sick yesterday. Really, really dizzy. I couldn't even lift my head off my pillow! And I felt sick... but I don't have to take those ones anymore! Yay! :D

I've got an appointment to have the bandage taken off next Monday! I woke up this morning to find one of my knuckles was blue. Since I panic very easily, I was convinced that it was an infection or something. So, what did I do? Checked on the flist. Have to have the priorities right! ;) Anyway, it's seems the bruising is starting to show. You can pull the bandage down a bit and see more. And it's itching! I so very much want to get a rule and stuff it down there... but I don't think that would be a good idea, lol. Strangely, when I said I wanted to do that to my brother, he became very squeamish. Not even the discussion we had this morning about what kind of saw thing they would have used to take away part of the bone made him go like that... I'll have to remember it for future reference! LOL.

I watched Batman Forever last night. That's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back isn't it? There was sooo very much wrong with it. I don't think I'd realized how good Batman Begins is until I had seen that. I'm not even going to mention what they did with Dick. Bruce+glasses=no. Unless he stole Clark's. 'Cause he was jealous. ;)

Anyway, there might be fic in a bit! Have to see...

This morning, my mum and dad went to the supermarket for the weekly shop. They had been there for about 20 mins when they had to evacuate because... it was on fire. Sooo... we are low on food.

My mum and dad are going to visit my grandmother tomorrow. I'm not allowed to go in case I pick up any infections that might be floating around the hospital.

The local anesthetic has now completely worn off. My body has kinda shut down on me today. I've been very sleepy and loopy. Really, if I had seen pink elephants dancing around my room this morning, I wouldn't have been surprised. I fell asleep for a little while this afternoon, and have kinda been sleepy ever since. I haven't even bothered to get dressed today. It was an effort just to brush my hair, lol. Only the thought of the tangled knot it would become prompted me to even do that. I've not been very hungry, either, which is a pain since the drugs I need to take have to be taken after food... they also make me dizzy. So, I've been in bed all day, reading comics and watching films. My wrist hurts. I think I can feel the stitches pulling when I turn it a certain way. It feels... gritty. LOL. Not nice.

Oh, and in case anyone is interested, I've given my permission for my fics to uhhh... be included? take part?... whatever, in the dvd commentary thing, in case any one is interested...
