I Wonder If The Stars Regret Me?

As you may or may not know, a car was found in central London this morning that had a bomb inside. Anther one was found in the afternoon. The way that the media are portraying it, the world is about to end, AND WE'LL ALL GOING TO DIE A LONG AND PAINFUL DEATH!!!!!

Please. Okay, so they've had to close to some roads, but really, it's not that much of a difference. It's just like there was some road works there, or the had been an car crash, or a water pipe had burst or something. They're also saying that no one had claimed responsibility yet. Hello! It didn't work! I don't think anyone's going to say that they did it, when nothing happened!

And I mean, really, people have been trying to destroy London for nearly 2000 years! Boadicea didn't (quite) manage to do it. The Viking's didn't do it. The Norman's didn't do it. The Plague didn't do it. The Great Fire of London didn't do it. World War 1 didn't do it. World War 2 didn't do it. The IRA didn't do it. People have a really bad track record of trying to destroy London!

They're saying "Terror is back on the streets of London!" Um, London has a terrorist attack, like, once every 3 years. It's been that amount of time since the last one. I was half expecting one soon. And I'm sure other people were too. So, just, please. Stop the mad running about because THERE WAS AN ATTEMPTED TERRORIST ATTACK! I'm sad to say that I'm sure there's going to be many more, and not just in London, for a long time to come.

I'm about a day behind on flist. I might get even more behind on weekend, but I'll try and catch up with it.

I had a good time in London. Well, I got shineys , so... :)

I got some Batman books, and Superman For All Seasons, which I blame completely on jen_in_japan with her 'Canon For The Deluded' posts. ;)

I also got some B:TAS dvd's. The first half of the first season. And thanks to the random guy who pointed out the ones that had more episodes on and were cheaper than the ones I was looking at. :) I've also ordered the second half of the first season, since HMV are having a sale. They were dispatched today, so I'll probably get them around mid next week sometime. :)

Somehow, I managed to pull a muscle in my leg while I was there, that I further aggravated today, so I spent the latter part of it limping. :( Hopefully it will get better soon.

I've got a busy weekend, but I hope to squeeze in some fic writing time sometime. I've got some new bunnys...

Talking of B:TAS, how cute is the episode, 'Beware the Gray Ghost?' Bruce is such a fanboy!

I'm going over to London for the day tomorrow, and I won't be back until late, so I won't be around at all. I'll try to catch up with flist on Friday.

For bradygirl_12, you might be interested to know that I've written two little fics for your prompts, and another two have 'spoken' to me. I hope to have the two I have written up sometime on the weekend, or at the very latest, the beginning of next week. I'm not sure when I'll get round to writing the other two, but it maybe next week sometime. :)
