I'm going back to the hospital tomorrow to get the bandage off at last! Yay! We suspect that I may have another, smaller bandage put on, cause, you know, they're taking stitches out. And I doubt they'll want to have them exposed straight away. Or will they? Only time will tell. LOL.

Anyway, here is the meme! Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] jen_in_japan

Go here and look through random quotes until you find 10 that you think reflect who you are and what you believe. Repost in your journal and offer it to anyone who so desires.

Because I had to have a silly one, I've got 11.

11. We're not lost. We're locationally challenged.
John M. Ford

10. In all the affairs of life, social as well as political, courtesies of a small and trivial character are the ones which strike deepest to the grateful and appreciating heart.
Henry Clay (1777 - 1852)

9. Character is what you have left when you've lost everything you can lose.
Evan Esar (1899 - 1995)

8. The inspirational value of the space program is probably of far greater importance to education than any input of dollars... A whole generation is growing up which has been attracted to the hard disciplines of science and engineering by the romance of space.
Arthur C. Clarke (1917 - )

7. Men can know more than their ancestors did if they start with a knowledge of what their ancestors had already learned....That is why a society can be progressive only if it conserves its traditions.
Walter Lippmann (1889 - 1974)

6. To do anything truly worth doing, I must not stand back shivering and thinking of the cold and danger, but jump in with gusto and scramble through as well as I can.
Og Mandino (1923 - 1996)

5. For me, it's that I contributed, ... That I'm on this planet doing some good and making people happy. That's to me the most important thing, that my hour of television is positive and upbeat and an antidote for all the negative stuff going on in life.
Ellen DeGeneres

4. You always second guess yourself. Just think of all the time you'd save if you just trusted yourself.
Takayuki Ikkaku, Arisa Hosaka and Toshihiro Kawabata, Animal Crossing: Wild World, 2005

3. Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present.
Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (121 AD - 180 AD)

2. My friend is one... who take me for what I am.
Henry David Thoreau (1817 - 1862)

1. Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
Dr. Seuss (1904 - 1991)

Yay for bandage-less life!

Oooh, #6 and #4 especially, yeah. #4--I often think that, I have to admit! I'll spend an hour fretting with DaMo over something or other and then think, "Well, I could have been doing something actually productive during that hour!" Of course, then I feel worse....lol...

Oh, you did this meme, too! I love your 11th silly quote; I have a feeling I'm going to be thinking of it a lot as I get myself lost in both physical and metaphysical ways. *grin* Oh, and I love #10! Small courtesies really can warm the heart, it's unbelievable! And I love #9, too ... and #8! I love the space program, but have never had a good argument as to why we should spend so much money on it (aside from the need to continue to explore our universe). But ... yes! It has inspirational powers! It is like Superman! LOL. Ohh, and #3 is good ... I just love all your quotes, lol.

Anyway ... *gives you more hugs and sends more good vibes your way*

*giggles* I couldn't resist the 11th one!

I know! If you think about that all that money being spent on halting poverty instead... but exploring space is wonderful! Because we might find krypton! a planet that has/had life on! That would be... pretty amazing. But freaky too. lol.

*hugs you back* Thank you!
