... can you please stop having these blackouts? I know it's not exactly your fault, but it's taken me an hour to log in.
Because of that, I don't have enough time (again!) to comment on things or reply to the lovely comments that people have left. I will try again tomorrow, but who knows what LJ will be like then? But I just didn't want people to think I'm ignoring you, since on the rare occasions that I can LJ to work now, there are always lots of new posts, so it seems like not everyone is having this problem? Or, maybe everyone else is just more patient than me. :p

Date: 2011-04-06 12:41 pm (UTC)I've been reading about it and it seems like it's some kind of attack on some specific Russian political bloggers. If so, it seems unlikely to be the kind of thing that will go away until the bloggers do! I've been feeling kind of frantic about it, to be honest. I never realized how often I check LJ every day, lol...

Date: 2011-04-06 05:03 pm (UTC)I think you can be right about this.
Fortunately, it seems to be better today. Still loading LJ pages takes longer than usual.

Same here. :)

Date: 2011-04-06 05:59 pm (UTC)I hadn't heard anything at all about it coming from Russia, but that would explain it, I guess... When I could get it to work I could always see lots of posts from people in America...
I hope it does stop soon - It seems to be working at the moment (for the first time since Sunday night I can see my background again and not just white pages of text! Oh, pretty background I've missed you so much!) and I really hope it continues to work. I need LJ to work! *clings*
(Oh, I'll say here, while it is working, thank you for your comments at my other LJ! I haven't been able to log in to reply to them, but they make my day. I'll try and get to them in a moment! *glomps*)

Date: 2011-04-07 02:13 pm (UTC)From what I could find out, it looks like it's a political attack! Apparently a lot of Russian political bloggers use Livejournal, and there's been an attack against a specific group of anti-government bloggers, trying to force them off LJ. There's some suspicion it might be part of the Russian government that's doing it, which would explain why they're so tenacious and successful. I'm a bit worried they might be able to bring down LJ altogether in any practical sense, but today has been better! *knocks on wood*

Date: 2011-04-07 06:05 pm (UTC)Meep! That's... rather worrying, espeically since LJ is owned by Russians now... Hmmm, I think I'll go and check my DW journal is still working, just in case, though LJ has been better today. *knocks on wood too*
Thank you for letting me know, Jen! :)

Date: 2011-04-06 05:54 pm (UTC)I really hope it's working for you too, Lis! You never realize how much you use something like this - how much you rely on it - until something like this happens.
