An update on the wrist saga. While my wrist was better, and indeed, is better, it has now done something weird. I have (what we believe to be) a Ganglion Cyst. It doesn't hurt or anything (unless it's been poked) but it's.... disconcerting to look at your hand and suddenly find this lump there that appeared form nowhere. My mum once had one, so she knows what's it's like, ie, it's not something more scary, but I need to keep an eye on it just in case. *sigh*

I'm going to Forbidden Planet tomorrow, as my male family members can't be bothered to get me birthday presents themselves don't want to get me presents that I won't like. So, shopping!! For good stuff! Weee!!

Also, I'm going to see Pirates of the Caribbean this Thursday morning, at the first showing! Seems likes it's going to be a loooong film. I'm looking forward to it, but did anyone else find that Elizabeth Swann was really annoying in the second film? I liked her fine in the first, but the second one... she really annoyed me. A lot. So much so that I would be happy if she died. No, actually, I won't be happy if she dies, because they would make her have a heroes death. And she doesn't deserve that. She should die in something unglamorous off-screen, like... in childbirth or something.

...As you can see, she really annoyed me.

ETA: Okay, so I've discovered that the bloody lump does hurt, but only when I type. Several other things have gone wrong in the last hour, and now lj has eaten my comment that I was trying to leave for bradygirl_12's latest fic. So, I'll just be over here, crying.

I felt the same way. I liked her well enough in the first film, but feel they expanded her role beyond credulity in the second. She was *really* annoying to me in the second film. I couldn't get into her relationship with Will at all.

Oh, BTW, this afternoon I wrote a little fic that was greatly inspired by your Earth and Sky series. Particularly a line in St. Elmo's Fire. So, I guess I'm asking for your belated permission to do so? I think it's separate enough from Earth and Sky, but I can't remember if some of the things I'm remembering (and thus are partly in the fic) are from Absolute Power or Earth and Sky... does any of that make sense? Because re-reading it doesn't... maybe it's just me.

I think it's going to be different enough from it, but I'm certainly drawing a lot from there. :)

Well, it's somewhat in the vein of 'Heartless' so it is quite angsty. I got it finished today, and then discovered that I actually liked the first version. *rolls eyes* Maybe I'll just have to have two...

And if you're struggling for something for to write for my birthday, then I'd be really happy with something in the Music of the Spheres verse, if that helps. :) If not, then smut is fine! ;)

I disliked the second Pirates movie quite a bit. Well, Norrington was awesome, but I found Elizabeth, Will, and even Jack Sparrow to be pretty annoying. I hope the third one will be better.

I think the first Pirates film was better than the second. The second one dragged a lot. And they all were quite annoying. I didn't mind Jack so much, but the others... But I liked what they did with Norrington! I really want to see how they resolve it...

God, I hope I won't have surgery for my wrist. At the moment it's just a waiting game. But, I guess we'll have to see.

The only problem with your suggestion is that Word and I really don't get on very well. After I use it for 5 mins, my laptop freezes. Then, when I restart and open Word again, it freezes after 2 mins. And on and on and on... But I could do that with notepad. *considers*

Today was my last day of classes! rejoice! but it's been a bad week and I just started a student revolution, lol. Erm. Actually I'm kind of in the middle of that, and the next two weeks are finals. *sighs* but by June 16th I'll be free, woo! at last!

Thanks for lending an ear! I'll fill you in all the crazy details of my new student activist malarky as soon as.. I have some more concrete details, lol. Right now I'm just organizing my peers and testing the waters to prepare a full blown attack of righteous rage to the school administration *sighs* I kind of don't need the pressue of that on top of the finals, but is has to be done, and I can't just wait for someone else to take responsability, right? If I'm going to complain, then I also have to propose a solution! So. That's what's keeping me tangled...

And yep, 2 more weeks! 15 of June is the last one :) if I can make it trough this week, though, it shall all be piece of cake. I have four final projects due, and a couple of project expos. So. A bit nervous about how much I will be able to finish!

*pets the muses* I'm glad the muses are keeping an eye on you! that's a very important job. Don't let the downs get to you, dear, though I know it sucks when it seems like life isn't adding up. Hopefully it will balance out with lots of awesome (at least from LJ land) your birthday week! :) *huuugs*
