I Wonder If The Stars Regret Me?

I am having some problems getting an internet connection. I have to have a wireless adapter because my laptops internal wireless internet card doesn't work. For some strange reason the wireless adapter I use power cable has stopped transmitting power and data, so I am having to borrow my brother's printer cable to get the internet. This is just temporary until we can find another cable, but I may not be around for a few days.

Also, a tale of caution.

If you get an infection somewhere do not let the following happen:
a) Let a family member and/or friend ask you if you want to soak the infected area in 'nice warm water'.
b) Do not let the family member and/or friend distract you with conversation while you are soaking the infected area.
c) Do not allow the family member and/or friend use your moment of distraction to add salt to the water right over where the infected area is.
d) Do not shriek and remove the infected area from the water because said family member and/or friend will only splash the infected area with the salt water.

It hurts. A lot.

Also, there is so much fic I need to catch up on! Why did everyone decide to post fic on the week I had off??

This is just to let anyone who might be reading this know that I am trying to slightly reduce the time I am spending on the internet. So, I may be a bit quieter both in posting things here, commenting, and replying to any comments. I may be back more during the week, but I'm trying to give myself a rest the remainder of this weekend at least. I don't know if it is because I've been writing so much recently, or that I can trick myself into thinking that I'm relaxing when I'm really not, but I have realized that I haven't given myself any real 'me time' since... well Christmas really. I just want to have a little break from the fandom, and the online world even if just for a day or two. I feel quite drained really, which I think is coming from writing 60... 60??!!! stories in about 6 weeks. Actually, that would explain why I am feeling drained. So, anyway, I will probably still be reading things, I just won't be commenting on them for a few days.

There may be a rant in here, so be warned!
The power cable to my laptop broke again last night. As in all the little wires inside the cable broke, snapped in half. And the only way I could get power to my laptop was if I risked electrocuting myself. I am very lucky that my dad was able to fix it (again!), but he says that he won't ever to be able to fix it again if the wires snap again. So we are trying to find a replacement cable. This is not easy because my laptop is about 1 1/2 years old. Apparently, in this time, they stop selling replacement things for the laptop. It is not fun. So we are looking for a cable that will be suitable for it. Hopefully, at least, what my dad has done will make it work until we can find a replacement one. I think I survived a lot better this time, because Bruce in my head gave me a rather stern talking to, when I started lamenting about the lack of internet. In a way, it was good, because I wrote 2 longish fics while I was waiting to see if my dad could mend the cable. I think I need to overdose on the internet now. Hurrm, internet. So, anyway, I am not 100% sure that the power cable will last until we can find a replacement. So if I don't reply to comments, then that is why. Heee!! Internet!!! Shiney!!!
