Clark gently wrapped the fluffy blanket around Bruce, ignoring his protests.

He knew Bruce was hurting.

Kal closed his eyes in anguish. It didn't seem fair. It wasn't fair. That even years after Bruce's wounds had healed, leaving pale scars in their wake, they could still pain him.

By something as little as cold or wet weather.

It wasn't fair that all his old wounds could still hurt him. They were healed, the terror of them gone, dealt with.

Until winter came.

Bruce's hands touched his, and Kal opened his eyes. Bruce squeezed them and Clark smiled sadly.

Mrowww! aww, Clark! I love the way he cares so much, and how unhappy h is about something that Bruce must just.. roll with, since it's part of the life he chose. Bruce's reassurance and Clark's sad smile got to my heart :3

Ohh *wibble* This was so tender! And I never thought about Bruce's old wounds hurting him in cold weather, but gah, they would! Poor Bruce, to constantly have to be reminded of them (although I suspect it's even worse on Clark D:). A lovely drabble, Star. :)

It's horrible that Bruce suffers so much in the winter but I bet if anyone asked he'd say the pain was worth it.

And even though Clark hates to see him in pain, he'd agree.
