Monday 10th March 2008

Number of Crimes Stopped: 0

Number of Murders (witnessed): 0

Number of Escapes from Arkham: 0

Review of Night: Robin and Batgirl report that crime has been drastically reduced. No one wants to be around when Joker's on the loose, or inadvertently mess up any of his plans.

Notes: The search for Joker is on going, though we think we've narrowed it down to the south west now. Still far too large an area.

Notes on Team: I've been forced to come to the conclusion that I can not send them away. I'm going to need to their help. Still haven't broken the news that I am going to be going out when we find Joker, with or without their help.

Bruce's Notes: Babs and I have narrowed down where we think Joker might be. Clark is helping us narrow it down even further, but I don't want him to get close to Joker. I dread to think what that... manic could do to him if he ever gets his hands on kryptonite.

I'm getting better, as I should be, since I am only covered for another week from WE. As much as Leslie and Pieter don't want to admit it, I do need to push myself if I'm going to keep my cover. I'm need to step up my exercises, so that next week I can go back to work. At last. I'm sure I've driven everyone crazy during my recovery. And I need to make an appointment to see Harvey at the first available opportunity.

I think I've come up with a rough plan of what to do with the Joker situation. Of course, there are too many variables in it at the moment, since we don't know exactly where he is, but when we do... I'm going to break it to Clark tonight. He's not going to happy about it. But he will help me, I know. I won't be up to my normal standards, and I will still have to gradually increase my patrolling, even after I'm cleared by Leslie and Pieter, to get up to scratch again, but it will be enough. It will have to be.

Reminder: Dick's present and maybe actually go to the Caribbean island with Clark on the weekend? I need to thank him properly for all he's done for me.

Interesting installment, Star! I like Bruce's protectiveness and his acknowledgment that he needs his family to help him with Joker.

Ah, still thinking of Dick's present and a Caribbean weekend with Clark sounds divine! Though I'm sure the Joker will throw a monkey wrench into that little plan.

As much as it seems like a bad idea for Bruce to confront the Joker, at this point I can't really blame him. What a messy situation.

Ooooh, it's fascinating to watch Bruce scheme against the Joker. Go Bruce!

You know, capturing the Joker, talking to Harvey, and writing a last entry from the beach would potentially be a nice way to bring an arc to a close and wrap things up for a bit as you consider where you want to go in the long run with this format. I'm hoping for more in the long view, but a sun-soaked idyll might be a good place to put them if you decide to pause with this series! *grins*
