Inside, he and Michael were wrapped under blankets, Michael half awake, half sleeping, his breathing heavily congested. He was ill. He would never admit it, of course, the man was far too stubborn for his own good. So Pieter had forced him into bed. He would be fine, he just needed to rest, impossible as it seemed for him. Pieter smiled fondly, and pulled the blankets higher around them when Michael started shivering. He would look after him until he was better. And for the rest of their lives.
