Clark woke to find the golden sun touching him, caressing him, filling him with power. Bruce was curled in the shadow that he cast, but it was dim, and his pale skin glowed.
His dark hair just caught the light, revealing shades of copper and gold. His eyes were closed; there was no glimpse of those ice blue winter eyes, that could be melted in the sun’s light.
But there were no dark circles beneath them, and for that, Clark was glad. He would see them later, filled with light from the moon, that suited them best.
Clark smiled.
