Clark lay back, staring up at the sky, spreading his wings out to compensate. Bruce made a muffled noise, a small keening of protest. He glanced at his lover, lying face down, his own black wings spread out. They glistened in the sunlight, the feathers gleaming, almost, Clark thought wistfully, making them look as if they were as white as his own.
He glanced at his own wings, bringing one forward to smooth some of the ruffled feathers. Bruce made a keening sound again, and Clark glanced back at him, surprised.
"You're blocking my sun," he muttered, trying to shift.
Clark immediately furled his wings, seeing the shadow flee away from Bruce, who sighed in pleasure. Clark swallowed, feeling a lump in his throat, then bent over and kissed Bruce senseless, banishing all thoughts of good and evil from his mind.
