Author's Note: For the [livejournal.com profile] worlds_finest Gift Exchange. For prompt: F10 - Clark and Bruce attend a Christmas party at the Watchtower. They’re sitting at a table by the window (great view!) and are observing their colleagues’ antics. Are they eating Christmas cookies, gingerbread, or some other goodies? ;) Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct!

Clark smiled happily at Bruce, who was sitting opposite him. Around them their Justice League colleagues were talking, dancing, laughing, having fun. On their other side stars twinkled brightly in the darkness of space, Earth glowed, a jewel of blue and green, with white swirls of cloud. Other planets dotted the unforgiving blackness of space, casting their own colors.

Clark looked at Bruce, black-clad, eating a chocolate smothered cookie in the shape of a Christmas tree and smiled.

Bruce quirked an eyebrow at him, then glanced about the room. Diana was talking to Dinah, their dark and light heads close together, Ollie was talking spiritedly with Hal, while eating cookies themselves.J'onn, Barry and Arthur were talking, maybe J'onn telling them Martian winter celebrations, or Arthur telling them Atlantis'.

He returned his gaze to Clark, sitting quietly opposite him, practically glowing with happiness, his light blue eyes sparkling and clear. He was eating the cookies on the table before them, ones made by Alfred, Dick and Barbara this afternoon. There were more waiting to be eaten, ones made by Ma and Pa Kent, with Clark and Linda, in every conceivable Christmas shape.

Clark grinned at him, and Bruce felt his heart accelerating, as it always did at the sight of that smile. Clark reached into the container of cookies, picking another to eat, then paused, before laughing.

Bruce raised an eyebrow. Still laughing, Clark withdrew a cookie that was a totally different shape to the others, and showed it to him, Bruce shaking his head as it became visible.

Clark was holding a bat shaped cookie, with a message on it in red frosting: B &hearts S

"Dick." Was all Bruce said, shaking his head again.

Clark's eyes were shining with happiness and love, and Bruce couldn't help but take his hand and entwine their fingers together. Clark's smile faded slightly, turning into something deeper, something knowing, like he knew a secret the rest of the universe didn't.

And he did, of course, Bruce thought, as he kissed him. Clark knew his heart.
