blackrosebard, who asked for: an introspective drabble on any senior JSA member. I... don't think this is what you meant, LOL. But it's what the muses wanted to do... Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct.
Pieter sat in a corner of the monitor room, being largely ignored by the rest of the JSA, who were arguing over the best way to run their current mission. He didn't mind that they were ignoring him, no one was injured, and - at the moment, at least - no one was suggesting a plan that would get them all seriously wounded, or worse. He'd be raising objections if they did, though.
At the moment, Michael was trying to convince Hawkman, and probably Wildcat too, that they shouldn't go in, fists swinging. Jay was explaining something to Courtney and Jakeem. The various conversations, however, came to a stop when Alan walked in the room.
Pieter smiled. That was just the way Alan was. Whenever he walked into a room, it seemed any conversation stopped. It wasn't because of his power, either. Everyone respected Alan, far more than they did anyone else. After all, how many heroes were standing in this room today because of him? Because of his example to them?
Every one of them.
Oh, it might not be directly because of him, of course they all had others they looked up to, their predecessors, but would they have become heroes if it wasn't for Alan? Maybe they would have, but without his example, would the JSA have even existed? Somehow, he didn't think so.
Pieter smiled again as Michael and Alan started conferring on the best strategy to be used. With Alan and Michael leading them, they would be unstoppable.
