Drabble: Moon and Sun

Title: Moon and Sun

Batman and Superman. The Moon and Sun. The World's Finest. Two thirds of the Trinity. The Dark Knight and the Man of Steel. And many other names, beside.

But right now, they were simply Bruce and Clark. They were in the cave and Clark was helping him to patch himself up after the night's patrol.

There's a frown on Clark's face, and his eyes are intent as he carefully places little butterfly plasters on a cut on his face. Bruce watches him from the corner of his eyes, head gently being held in place by Clark's other hand.

This is what makes Clark Superman, he thinks. This is what makes him the greatest hero of them all. His care and compassion. Even to a vigilante, who dresses as a giant bat.

When he is done, Clark presses his lips, very gently, to the wound. The look in his eyes... Bruce slips his arms around his neck and brings their heads together, foreheads resting against each other.

They don't speak. But then, they've never needed words for this.

Beautiful, darling! The cadence at the beginning is well-done, and then the break to just being Bruce and Clark in the Cave.

Ohh, what a sweet little moment. Clark is so caring patching up Bruce's hurts with bandages and kisses. Moments like those, words really arn't needed, especially with those two. Thanks for sharing :D

It´s always almost a bit painful to see how little Bruce thinks of himself. After all, care and compassion characterise him as well as Clark. But it´s good to see him trust Clark, let him take care of his wounds, and it´s wonderful to see his gentle gesture.
