Clark's skin was looking less green, Bruce thought, but of course that could just be the bandages making his skin look white. Clark caught his wrist with weak fingers and Bruce looked up at him.
"I'll be fine in the morning." His voice was a hoarse whisper. The effects of a massive amount of kryptonite poisoning.
Bruce didn't know if he should be shouting at Clark for being so stupid, or holding him desperately. They had almost lost him. But he knew that Clark wouldn't have acted in any other way, no matter how much he yelled. Peoples lives had been in danger.
But it was so... disorientating to see Clark like this.
They could only have one sun lamp, as well, since too much yellow light now would completely overload his system...
"Bruce. I'll be fine," Clark repeated, squeezing his wrist. "Thank you for taking care of me."
Bruce gently twisted his wrist out of Clark's hand. "Be more careful, next time," he said gruffly, taking Clark's hand in his own.
Clark smiled up at him, his blue eyes tired, but full of emotion. "I love you too, Bruce."
