Dick was bored.

He had to admit this wasn't exactly an unusual state for him.

Sure, he could work out or do some work on the computers in the cave or... or something. But none of that had any appeal right now.

Then he grinned. He wondered if Babs was home...

"And just what," Babs' voice was icy cool, "was that about?"

Dick tried to grin, not sure of how much of an act she was putting on. "I was bored!"

... And then he suddenly realized those were not the best words to say.

If Babs had been putting on a act before it had now transformed into reality. "So you decided to kiss me?"

"Um..." Foot in mouth syndrome, why could he never be cured of it? "I didn't mean it like that! I meant... I meant..." He floundered. Babs was looking at him with one raised eyebrow and looking very scary indeed. "I love you!" He offered, hopefully.

Babs gave him a long look... then sighed and smiled. "Well, why didn't you just say so?" Then dragged him down for another kiss.

This was such a peach to read. I was bored, really Dick, would you like someone to kiss you because they were bored...knowing Dick no he wouldn't mind a bit LOL. But you did give him an out
