bradygirl_12's Halloween Challenge. Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct. Happy Halloween, everyone! :)
Clark looked around at all the colorfully costumed people about him. There were swirls of black and orange, silver and gold, and a great deal of purple too. Sparkly masks completed people's outfits, many with capes or cloaks too.
Pumpkins with candles in them glowed in the darkness of their surroundings, paper bats and witches on broomsticks hung from the ceiling, casting shadows against the walls.
Clark smiled. He could tell who everyone was, of course. It was just as obvious as how much fun everyone was having. It wasn't often that almost everyone in the meta-human community could get together like this, and everyone was taking full advantage of the time to relax and let their hair down.
Well, almost everyone.
There was someone very important who he hadn't seen yet. Moving past the tables laden with food - apples, pumpkins, and most of all, chocolate, in various forms, Clark stepped out of the people filled room and into the brightly lit rooms of JSA headquarters. He walked down a corridor, feeling his silk cape brushing against his legs, the unfamiliar feel of the mask upon his face preventing him from being able to float down the corridor.
He opened glass doors that lead out onto a balcony and stepped outside, into the cool night. He didn't spot Bruce immediately, his friend had blended into the shadows too well. But he could hear his heartbeat, knew that he knew he was there.
"I should be in Gotham."
Clark smiled, then moved forward slightly, towards the patch of darkness the voice had come from. "I'm keeping an eye on it. Don't worry."
A shadow moved; he heard Bruce grumbling under his breath, then was finally able to see him. His smile grew. Bruce was dressed all in black, of course. He had come as a vampire, it seemed, complete with fangs.
Clark pulled him into his arms suddenly, muffling his lovers protests with a kiss. Bruce was glaring at him from under his black mask, studded with silver, but Clark didn't care. The full moon shone down upon them and Bruce was breathtaking in it's light.
"Happy Halloween, Bruce."
Bruce's hands were in his hair, he could see his tiny smile, even as he sighed and rolled his eyes. "Happy Halloween, Clark."

I really want to see Clark's costume, Clark with a mask is.. mmm. I like the visual a lot! and I like that he can't fly because they would recognize him, lol. I'm pretty sure it's not that hard to recognize him anyway :P
This was really sweet, and I'm happy to see your stories again! yay! thanks for sharing!
