Title: Batman's Files and Bruce's Diary (1/?)
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairing: Bruce, Bat Clan. Hints of Bruce/Clark
Word Count: 729
Disclaimer: I own nothing
Author's Note: Don't take anything beyond this point seriously. Basically, it's what the title says. Hopefully (if people aren't too horrified by it, and like it) to be posted on a semi-regular basis. Inspired by
arch_schatten's Somewhere to hang the secret identity and various diary fics. Events in this entry inspired by
greeneyelove's Better than the Easter Bunny. Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct. And be kind, please.
Date: Sunday 17th February 2008
Number of Crimes Stopped: 4
Number of Murders (witnessed): 1
Number of Escapes from Arkham: 2
Review of Night: Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn (aka Pamela Isley and Harleen Quinzel were still on the loose from Arkham Asylum, after their break out on the 14th February (See Notes). They were both apprehended, and have been returned to Arkham, but not before causing chaos to Downtown, and endangering several civilian lives.
One witnessed murder, but murderer apprehended, and now in police custody.
Notes: Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn seemed not to realize that Valentine's Day was over. They caused total destruction in Downtown, by exploding bombs of chocolate sauce, and Poison Ivy's infamous Sex Pollen. The combination caused... interesting results among the civilians caught up in it, to say to least. Thankfully, none of my team were effected, and the situation was soon brought under control. Not until after I had been nearly completely covered in chocolate sauce from the bombs, however. Commissioner Gordon was left to deal with the civilians. There's only so much a Batman can do.
Notes on Team: Everyone performed well, as always. No trouble. Except for Oracle's and Nightwing's comments. But I've come to expect nothing else from those two. I have a foreboding feeling that someone (Black Canary) will learn about this, get photographic evidence of me covered in chocolate sauce, show the rest of the Justice League, and I will be the subject of several jokes. Which they will all regret. I'm also slightly worried about Robin. He was much quieter than normal tonight, very business like. He only laughed once at me being covered with chocolate. I suspect he had an argument with Superboy. Will confer with Nightwing, Oracle, Batgirl and Alfred later.
Addendum: Need to call Superman. Didn't know he liked chocolate sauce that much.
Bruce's Notes: Yuck. I officially hate chocolate sauce. It got everywhere! And apparently my belt isn't as waterproof - or chocolate sauce proof - as it should be. Ruined everything that was in it. Just spent an hour in the shower trying to get the chocolate off. Luckily it didn't get in my hair, as that would have just been a nightmare. And thank god I didn't get hit by the sex pollen. Although the last time that happened wasn't so bad, due to Clark being there too...
I'm worried about Tim. He was very quiet on patrol, and hardly laughed at me being covered in chocolate. Well, he was covered in chocolate too, by the end of the night, so I can understand why he wasn't very happy. Even to a die hard chocoholic, that would be too much. Anyway, I'm worried about him. I think he had an argument with Kon. I don't want to ask, in case... well. I don't exactly have a good track record for these kinds of conversations, and... there's also the possibility that it's because of me. I hope Clark would tell me if it was, but I don't know how much he and Kon are talking these days. Touchy subject. I know I have a reputation for being a utter bastard, but... I would hope that it wasn't something to do with me - with my paranoia - that's making Tim and Kon argue. Tim deserves to be happy, after everything he's been though, and Kon is the person to do that. If it isn't resolved in the next few days, Kon will be hearing from me. I'll talk to Dick and Alfred, see what they think, if Tim's confided anything in them. And Babs too. There's always the chance that he's said something to her. Something he feels he can't say to any of us. And Cassandra. She'll know what's going on better than anyone.
I'll call Clark in the morning, see if he knows anything. And to see when he's free to indulge in some chocolate again. Really, the covered-in-it thing wasn't all that bad. Not when you have Kal 'helping' you get clean.
Off to bed now, completely worn out. Hope I can sleep better that I have been tonight.

Date: 2008-02-19 12:44 pm (UTC)I love the differences and similarities between the two entries. Fantastic.
At first I thought I would just do Batman's entries, but then I realized that there were things I wanted to do that Batman couldn't say, but Bruce could... ;)
I hope everything's ok with Tim, of course. O_O
*grins* You'll find out in the next few entries!
There will be more today! :D

LOL! Awww, sweetie! his paranoia there is adorable 'Please don't let it be me!'. I hope it isn't him, too! I always feel like that, too, so I feel his pain. I love the incident with Pammy and Harley, lol, chocolate bombs! chocolate covered Batman telling Jim Gordon he's off for the night, LOL. Oh, I can't wait for more, Star! I'm so honored you found my story as inspiration, especially since the result is so great!

*pets Bruce* He's adorable, isn't he? *squishes him* He's paranoid about his paranoia!! LOL! *grins* I loved the image of a chocolate covered Batman telling Jim he was leaving the rest up to him. Hee! If this is even half as good as your story, then I'm happy! :) There will be more today, since it's someone's birthday... ;)

Well, how was he to know he needed to check for chocolate-sauce-proofness? Poor Bruce, he can't think of everything...
I hope to see more of these!

Date: 2008-02-19 12:53 pm (UTC)Yay!!! I'm really glad that worked! :D Like I said to Saavi, I was originally just going to do Batman's thoughts, but then I realized that there were things I wanted to do that Batman wouldn't say, but Bruce would... :)

Date: 2008-02-19 09:11 am (UTC)Can I request proper stories on the sex pollen with Superman (not diary entries but stories). Plus another on the one with a chocolate covered Bruce and Clark there to help clean him off. Please. 'Cos mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... ;-)
I hope this story inspires an artist to draw a chocolate covered Batman and maybe a Bruce and Clark one in bed as well. Nice imagery. :-)

Date: 2008-02-19 10:56 pm (UTC)Very good contrast between files/diary, and the chocolate imagery was delicious! :) I've been O.D.'ing on chocolate stories lately and this was so yummy! :)
Harley/Ivy are always a hoot, and Clark being there to help Bruce 'clean off' was a good laugh!
Heh, so Bruce is afraid he might be Tim's problem? Can't wait to read the next part! *zips on over*
