I can understand Clark on the pre-emptive strike so I won't be too angry with him, but Bruce was so hurt!

I'm glad Clark's actions came across as (sort of!) valid. :) *huggles poor Bruce*

You have the emotions down really well: Bruce's depression and Clark's desperation, and Alan being wonderful, and of course Alfred and Dick as well.
