worlds_finest Gift Exchange! For the prompt F18: I'd love to see a sweet or playful story based around the banner used for this exchange that shows Clark hitting Bruce with a giant snowball. :) Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct.
Batman was staring out over the snow filled grounds of Wayne Manor. His eyes narrowed. He crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes. Something was... wrong. He was just about to turn around when an object hit his head.
Batman became absolutely still.
He felt the change in air currents and tensed, just before he was covered in snow.
Batman spluttered, wiping the snow away from his face. His eyes narrowed to slits as he took in the scene before him:
Superman was grinning at him, with a Santa's hat on his head.
"Why did you do that?" Batman growled, voice full of danger.
Superman smirked at him. "Because it was fun?"
Batman narrowed his eyes once more, before letting his own smirk spread across his face. He stepped forward to the hovering Kryptonian, and placed a hand on his chest. He leaned forward, face only inches away from Kal's.
"You don't mind if I have some fun of my own, then?" Batman whispered huskily.
Kal shook his head, and leaned closer in anticipation of a kiss. But Batman had already stepped away.
"O. Situation 724."
"Understood." He heard the snicker in Babs' voice. Batman smirked at Kal's confused face. Kal opened his mouth to ask him what 'Situation 724' was... and he was covered in snow.
Batman moved before he could recover, diving behind a snow drift, joining Nightwing and Robin, who were wearing identical grins. They heard Superman spluttering, and quickly started forming snowballs and fortifying their hideout. Superman was approaching them, still spluttering, and Batman, Nightwing, and Robin's smirks grew.
Superman yelped suddenly, and Nightwing and Robin could hardly contain themselves. That would be Huntress and Spoiler joining the fight, then.
"Hey!" Superman realized the trap he had fallen into. "Kon! Kara!"
There were two streaks of light. Batman peaked out to see Superboy and Supergirl standing by Superman's side.
He tapped his comm. "O?"
"Co-ordinating now, B."
"Alright, everyone. As we've planned." He received a series of affirmative answers.
Batman darted out from behind the hideout, attacking with some of the snowballs he had stockpiled. He got each of the Supers, leaving them spluttering as he darted behind some trees. Nightwing and Huntress attacked behind him, covering him as he joined Spoiler. She grinned at him, and he grinned back before they charged together, Spoiler sniggering as she pelted Superboy.
The Supers were attempting to fight back, but they were badly outnumbered. Batman and Spoiler reached cover, then Robin attacked, throwing his snowballs with perfect accuracy. Batman and Spoiler split, then rejoined with Nightwing and Huntress behind the hideout.
"Tim! Tim, I'll kill you for this!!!"
Nightwing snickered at Superboy's outraged yelling. Robin dived, just missing a snowball, joining them behind the protection of the hideout.
"The secret weapons are here, B." Oracle reported.
"Thank you, O."
They all peaked out from behind the snowdrift to see the Supers conferring. They broke apart, then started heading towards the snowdrift. Batman just smiled.
The Supers came within five footsteps of them, before they were completely smothered with snow, the surprise of it driving them all to the ground.
Batgirl and Catwoman jumped down to stand next to them.
Batman nodded at his team for a job well done, then jumped on Superman before he could recover, straddling him.
"Do you surrender?" He whispered silkily in his ear.
Superman struggled underneath him for a moment, before sighing and nodding.
"What was that?" Batman pressed.
"I surrender." Kal ground out.
"Good." Batman straightened, but didn't get off Kal. He saw Robin and Batgirl gathering surrenders from Superboy and Supergirl. He smirked.
"Bruce. How...?" Kal blinked up at him.
Batman smirked again. "Oh, come now, Superman. Surely you know I have a plan for everything?"
Kal just sighed, and rolled his eyes.
