Diana smiled as she accepted birthday wishes from Barbara. All the women attending the party held in honour of her birthday were dressed in white, and all the men in black. She herself was dressed in a flowing Grecian style gown, hair piled atop her head; diamonds glittering at her throat and wrists and hands. She took a moment to appreciate the sight of everyone dressed in beautiful, well fitting clothes.
Diana had turned back into a conversation when there was a flutter behind her, a gasp arising from the crowd. She turned, her first thought that some enemy had infiltrated the party. Then she smiled widely as she what had started everyone.
Bruce and Clark had made their entrance.
Bruce was dressed in a black suit, with a pale blue shirt and silver subtly patterned tie, cuff-links, watch and black shoes gleaming. Beside him, Clark was wearing a well fitting suit for once, and had bucked the black suit rule, was instead wearing a very dark blue suit that somehow shimmered, a black shirt, and a darker red tie, glasses absent for once.
There were murmurs of appreciation; Clark hardly ever wore black. Bruce must have helped him pick his outfit, Diana thought with a twitch of her lips. Clark grinned when he saw her. Beside him Bruce was surveying everyone with a ice blue flicker of his eyes.
She moved towards them, seeing Bruce removing white gloves from his hands, and a beautifully wrapped parcel in Clark's hands. Diana stopped next to them, appreciating their beauty, as they both greeted her with birthday wishes. But of course, Bruce and Clark's true beauty shone as their exchanged a look, the love and desire in their eyes obvious to all.

Diana smiled again, happy.
