I'm only doing the surviving original JSA members, because what I've come up with is utter crap!
Right. Alan would be involved with railways, he's the owner of a railway company, maybe? Jay would be a scientist involved with the discovery of new materials and chemicals. Ted is a ex-miner who has since become a boxer. Carter is a archaeologist (I'm so original, I know!) and Ma Hunkel is a matron, perhaps teaching in a small school.
... and that's all I've come up with. Maybe they all untie somehow to fight for better living conditions for the workers?
