I don't think it's OOC, but then, I have some weird theories about characters. Canon Bruce is a construct we all start from, and then we flesh him out and make it our own, so I don't think you could ever write him OOC -he's always going to be your Bruce! as for how close or far he is from canon Bruce -I think he's relatively close to some versions of him, and worlds away from others, but that's pretty much a given, since there are so many versions of him out there that deal different. It always depends on the author, and since the author here is you, as long as he's true to *your* version of the character, he's still going to sound right to me... does that make any sense?
I know what you mean about a character becoming OOC in a way, the second we start to flesh them out with our own head canon - like the minute you slash Bruce with Clark, that's going to make him OOC in a way, because you're putting Bruce in a relationship. I think that's an excellent way of putting it, that it's just impossible for your Bruce to be OOC with your Bruce. He's your Bruce! My Bruce was called OOC once because he isn't mean enough to Clark. :) My Harvey's been called OOC for being too messed-up pre-scarring. My Clark was called OOC for being too insecure. What matters is that you love the character and that they're true--"OOC" is a total red herring in comics-based fanfic. It applies to only the rawest sorts of physical actions--Batman assassinating someone from a distance with a rifle? OOC--but the hearts of the characters are ours. There's just too much contradictory canon to be able to pronounce a character's personality OOC.

LOL! Well, there are many cases of Bruce being "broody" and thoughtful and worried about how people see him. He's a very thoughtful character in many writers' hands!

To be fair, Bruce being mean to Clark is certainly not out of character, if by in-character you mean "having a reasonable basis in some canon portrayal." Canonically, there have been times Clark and Bruce have cordially disliked each other. If someone picks those parts of canon to focus on, their Bruce is perfectly in-character...it's just a version that appeals to some people and not to others. A warmer, more thoughtful and self-doubting Bruce is also perfectly in-character for other times in canon...and is one that some people will be interested in and others will not. :)
I haven't been reading your serial stories, but the short ones I love, and your Bruce feels very real to me.
He's possibly more human, and humane, than we've seen in most comics recently, but I really like that, because I don't like a lot of what canon has done to darken him in the last several years.

I think he may be a tad OOC, but in a way that seems to fit him. I can see Bruce suffering depression and thinking he doesn't deserve all this love from his family. But he's still fiercely protective of his own, and that's 100% Bruce, through and through.
I mean with the depression. It's not something you usually see in the current comics. Or at least, not something that's specifically explored much. But I like this exploration, so it's all good. :) And like Jen said, there's been so much variation in his character in canon over the years, that virtually nothing is OOC for him. :p
That's quite a subjective question. I mean, there are so many different versions of Bruce as of the other characters. I doubt that even the original makers know any more what's he like, personality vise. XD I, myself, like your version.
Yeah, I wasn't in... the best place mentally when I made this poll! I'm a lot happier with my portrayal of Bruce now! When I asked this I was writing a story that was his diary entries, and I was projecting on him a great deal. So I wasn't sure if I was putting too much of myself onto him, and making him OOC.
