Dick was laughing brightly and Clark smiled at the sound, even though he was in Metropolis and the boy in Gotham, could not resist a peek over at the dark city, saw a smile touching Bruce’s lips as well.
It was still strange to think of himself as a father, still strange to think of Bruce as a father. But it was one of the most wonderful feelings he had ever felt, only comparable to falling in love with Bruce.
“C’mon, Smallville, stop daydreaming.”
Clark blinked and the sight of Bruce, and the sound of Dick’s laughter faded away; he was back in Metropolis again, with Lois standing over him, stealing his pens. He smiled again, joined in her banter, sheer happiness making him grin like a fool.
