dcu_freeforall. Prompt of 'The Gang'. Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct.
Bruce had fallen asleep. Clark edged closer and very carefully placed his cape over him, hardly breathing for fear of waking him.
Diana smiled at them fondly, from her place at the table. Clark smiled back as he returned to his place, from the low, overstuffed chair Bruce had fallen into. Bruce didn't always do this, when they had these meetings, but most of the time... well, Clark and Diana expected him to nod off.
"What film do you want to watch this week? It's your turn." Diana said, eyes twinkling.
Clark looked at the choices, humming thoughtfully, and was reminded of his days in Smallville with Pete and Lana; hanging out with the gang. The faces might have changed, but the feeling hadn't. The feeling of acceptance. Of home. Love and friendship.
Clark's smile grew, as he continued looking at the films, determined to find just the right one.
