When Clark met Bruce, he felt some easing of his heart, some knowledge gleamed before they had even exchanged a word. He no longer felt so alone.
When Bruce met Clark, he felt his heart opening, like it never had before, leaving him stunned and breathless.
When Diana met Clark, she felt that at last someone could understand her, understand how truth and peace were needed. When she met Bruce, she knew him as a fellow warrior, a fighter for justice, who knew that sometimes you had to fight for peace.
The locks that were around their hearts opened, emotion spilling forth, each of them becoming the pick, the key, that could open them.
