merfilly's birthday! Happy Birthday! I have another, better, Charlie story that I'm going to write very soon, but hopefully this one will do for now. :) Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct!
Charlie stared at the Nice Man. The Nice Man was humming. Charlie rolled his eyes. He was perched on the Nice Man's shoulder, but he started looking for somewhere else he could perch. Distressingly, he couldn't find anywhere.
The humming increased. Charlie sighed, then flapped his wings a bit, hoping the Nice Man would get the message. It wasn't that the Nice Man didn't hum very well, it was just... not what Charlie wanted.
The Man with the Not-Birds came and joined the Nice Man. Charlie eyed him and the stupid Not-Birds. They seemed to be behaving themselves today. They should be. It really had been an accident when Charlie had broken one. Really! It wasn't his fault they were so stupid.
The Man with the Not-Birds started humming along with the Nice Man. Charlie sighed again, rolling his eyes once more. They were singing along with each other, so Charlie still didn't know why they weren't mates. Really, humans were so very stupid. Maybe it was because they weren't doing bird talk? Charlie pondered this a while, before the humming got louder.
Charlie flapped his wings again, but the Nice Man just petted him. Charlie sighed. Well, the Nice Man was happy, so Charlie supposed the humming was alright. Sighing once more, Charlie finally spotted a perch and flew to it, yawning, then nearly instantly falling asleep, leaving the Nice Man and the Man with the Not-Birds to hopefully finally mate.
