"You do know that you're crazy right?" Clark said.
"People have said that before." Bruce's voice was Batman low, husky and intense. He was giving him a glare that would have made hardened criminals scream in terror. What rather ruined the effect, however, was his red nose.
Clark took a deep breath. "Bruce. You are sick."
"I've also been told that."
Clark sighed. "Bruce. You are not well enough to go out tonight. Dick's come over to cover for you. Tim is out there, and so is Cassandra. And Barbara is monitoring them. I'm keeping a eye on everything as well. And they've all promised to contact you if anything big comes up."
Bruce was considering him, looking at him with intense eyes. Then he sneezed.
"See! You'll hardly be able to do any sneaking around sneezing every five minutes.” Bruce was glaring at him again. "Please, Bruce. Go back to bed."
Bruce narrowed his eyes. Clark handed him a tissue. Bruce blew his nose. "You're keeping a eye on things?"
"And a ear."
Bruce nodded thoughtfully. "You promise that you'll tell me if something comes up?"
Clark rolled his eyes slightly. "Yes."
Bats squeaked above their heads. Bruce sneezed once more. "You... may have a point."
Clark sighed in relief. "So, you'll go back to bed?"
"Yes."
Clark smiled. "Mind if I join you?"
"You should have just said that from the start."
Clark just grinned, and helped Bruce up the cave stairs.
