Drabble: Lunch Break

Author's Note: Based off Justice League 9. Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct! :)
The bullpen emptied, leaving Clark alone. Which he was fine with, really, he was a loner, preferred to be alone. He shouldn’t be feeling this bitter sting of pain, of rejection. That everyone else, even Lombard, had been invited...
Clark sighed and unwrapped his sandwich. It was fine, he could get more work done this way. But, of course, that would brand him even further as the geek-
His phone beeped. Clark glanced down at it, saw the message: Got lunch plans? - B, and smiled. He wasn’t alone. He had a friend who was even more of a loner than he, so he knew that when Bruce did extend his friendship... that was the most precious gift in the world.
Clark smiled again, carefully wrapped his sandwich back up, then went to change into his costume, to spend lunch with his friend.
