I'm not awake properly, but there's been an earthquake in Japan? Is everyone okay? [livejournal.com profile] jen_in_japan? [livejournal.com profile] rai_daydreamer? I'm not sure which part of Japan the earthquake was, and where you are...

I'm sorry that there was earthquake again, but I live far from there and I'm all right.
Thank you very much for your kind words Star! *hugs*

The earthquake was on the other side of Japan--but we felt it here. The whole house swayed. o_o

But everything here is fine! Just...kind of scary...

Thanks for checking in with us!

*grins*

*hugs back*

Apparently earthquakes lead to hugging! This is an unexpected side benefit. :)

When earthquakes happen when I'm in my office, there's always a scary moment with the bookcases. They're bolted to the wall, but if all the books slid off it could be pretty dangerous. I always think, at least I'd be killed by something I love... *grin*

Killed by books... that would be an... interesting way to go, lol.

I'm glad you three are alright. :-)

I take it the typhoon isn't causing you guys problems. I hope it isn't at least.

That came really close too! And the fact that it soaked the ground has meant the earthquake triggered a lot of mudslides...a really bad combination of natural events...

Um...I hope you don't mind me asking, Jen, but I'm...dying of curiousity. What is going on in your icon? Is Superman lost in a maze? What is that rock in the middle?

That maze thing is a kind of japanese garden art.

And everyone is alive! YEAH!

Thank you! I was very curious, and kept looking at the icon, wondering. It looked like a maze, but I wasn't sure.

You are a doll for answering my question. :)

*grins* It's an icon [livejournal.com profile] naughty__pixie made me--it's a Zen rock garden in the background. I like to use it for anything Japan-related. :)

Too many hills, so no tornadoes...but maybe they could manage a big flood? Hail?

Plague of frogs? :)

Ack! First the typhoon, now an earthquake? Japan is getting the crap kicked out of it! It's such a relief to hear that you and DaMo and [livejournal.com profile] rai_daydreamer and all the other LJ Japan folk are all right, though. *gives you more hugs* And I hope that not too many other people were hurt in the country. O.O

On a more lighthearted note ... you have a Superman-in-a-zen-garden icon! Is that from fanart or from an actual comic?

*hugs her icon* It's designed by [livejournal.com profile] naughty__pixie, and it's canon art (I think!) superimposed over the garden. Isn't it pretty?

And yes, Japan is having a tough string right now. That area should be feeling aftershocks for a week or so. It's weird, it gives you this feeling like the whole Earth is just a big bell that someone strikes now and then and it resonates--not a very pleasant feeling...

I'm used to typhoon because we have had many of them every year. But big earthquake like that makes me worried... I hope aftershocks will quie down soon.
Thank you for your kind words. :)
