Drabble: Frosted Winter

Author's Note: A belated birthday present for fictionalknight! *hugs* It's not quite what you asked for, but seems to fit with your last post! Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct.



It was cold. And dark. And cold. He didn't like Winter. Long, long dark nights. Freezing cold, getting into his bones, making them ache, even more where he had broken them. Old wounds from foes, haunting him still. All the parties he had to attend. Christmas ones, New Year ones, we're-filthy-rich-so-we'll-throw-a-party-to-celebrate ones. All the accidents upon roads, people losing their lives, freezing to death...

He didn't like Winter.

Though being snowed in at the Manor was a welcome relief, when it happened. But then there was trouble getting into Gotham, at night, without leaving traces that would declare to all 'Batman is Bruce Wayne!'.

There was only one thing he liked about Winter.

Spending long mornings in bed with Clark. Either just sleeping, holding one another and speaking about everything and nothing, or making love. Clark was always wonderfully warm due to excess solar energy from his cells.

Coming in after a long, dark, cold night, then pressing his cold and aching body against Clark's warmth... It nearly made it all worth it.

Mmm, nice!

Poor Bruce! Winter is awfully tough on him. I hear him about previously-broken bones aching in the cold.

But the imagery of a warm Clark all toasty and warming Bruce up is awesome! :)

As we in NYC have endured our 3rd or 4th snow storm since Christmas and have another one due tonight, I whole heartedly agree with Bruce. Having a loving warm Kryptonian keeping me warm after it all more than makes it worth it all. AND I too want my own loving one to keep me warm on a cold winter's night as well.

Oh, I hadn't thought about how the snow in winter would make covering his tracks so much harder for Bruce! Maybe Clark can just give him a lift through the air? :)

That was perfect! I admit, I’ve never realized this. But you are right about the traces.

With all the recent cold weather everywhere, it's been easy to describe, lol!

Ugh, yeah, I don´t think there´s been an insulated suit invented yet that would keep Bruce warm crouching on a rooftop for hours in subzero temperatures. But yeah, supercuddles would thaw him out again. :))
