fictionalknight who asked for Batman and a computer malfunction... since I don't know know much about computers or indeed computer malfunctions except to pray they never happen please ignore anything wrong in this fic. ;) Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct!
Bruce stared at the computer screen in horror, hardly able to comprehend what he was seeing. It wasn't supposed to have done that! Those files were never meant to have been sent to anyone - never even supposed to be seen by anyone except him.
The files that contained the secrets he only let himself think about when the world seemed such a long way away, and his hope was almost lost. The ones that contained thoughts and feelings on the person he focused his attention on at those times, the one who hope seemed to flow from... Clark.
And now his stupid stupid computer had sent them all to Clark.
Bruce groaned, closing his eyes, covering his face with his hands. Clark would never forgive him for this, never look at him the same way again, never fully trust him again. Not after he read those files and saw how Bruce truly felt about him. After he saw that sometimes, thinking about Clark and all that he represented was the only way he was able to pick himself up and carry on.
For Clark to know just how much Bruce needed him...
He groaned again, feeling his heart rate and breathing picking up, like he was fighting a foe. But there was nothing for him to fight, nothing he could do. At best, he could hope that Clark would ignore the e-mail, or stop reading it when he realized that he files were most certainly never meant to be read.
Bruce took a deep breath, steadying himself, hands falling away from his face. Nothing would change. Clark would ignore, or pretend to ignore, the files... And Bruce would carry on as normal. Yes. Nothing had changed. Nothing.
Nodding to himself, Batman got into the Batmobile.
