Awww, Harv! *snugs him* He's such a sweetie! and he loves Bruce so much, here! such a dutiful friend, he's so adorable. I'm almost sad Bruce and Clark were so taken with each other, lol. Harvey needs love!
I love your description of young!Bruce and young!Harvey's friendship. Bruce looks so unfocused still, like he doesn't know what he'll do yet, just feeling the weight of hope on him. And Harvey, being o hopeful and sure, and calling Alfred to reassure him Bruce was taking care of himself, awww! Lol, Alfred is so my mom X)
But when Bruce took notes it was almost as if he had so much he wanted to get down, he had to do it right now, before he thought of something else.
That rings so true to me, yay! Too many things at the same time, too many ideas, too many thoughts, he's gotta capture them before they escape from him. I think an older Bruce would be able to control his trains of thought better, but he's still always so scattered interest-wise in my head :P
Harvey sighed softly. That he was one of those people was almost unfathomable. "Hey, it's okay to miss home, you know. I miss Gotham too. And if you're sick then you'll just have to put up with me looking after you."
Bruce's head raised, and a small smile touched his lips. "I'd say that's an incentive for me not to get ill..."
Hehehe, silly boys! I love their banter! and that moment in the coffee shop seemed so real! so, so pretty. I love the image of all those books and the hot chocolate. Bruce drinks hot chocolate when he feels ill or misses Gotham! that's my new canon! Chocolate is for the soul!
Or, Harvey thought with a eyebrow raising, as Bruce sat down with his back to the door, he just really wanted to sit down.
Lol, I love Harvey there, analyzing Bruce down to how he moves. Bruce must be feeling pretty tired and sick there! strategically bad table!
"He's my... guardian." Bruce said, after a moment's pause. "He wanted to know we got here okay," he added, then put the phone away.
Aww, I love that! his guardian, of course! Bruce saying it makes me all mushy :3 And I really like the cellphone detail. I always bring out my cellphone when I'm feeling uncomfortable and fiddle with it and send random messages just so people won't stare too much at me or try to start a conversation :P
Bruce sighed, sounding for all the world like a man desperately in love. "She's beautiful."
Eeeeee! so awesome!
"I want to change things. Make them better. Make the world a better place."
Oh, Clark. I love you so. Clarkie Clarkie Clark Clark Clark. Lalalaaaa, I love hiiiim. And I really liked Pete's protectiveness of him and his secret.
Because he had seen the way Bruce had looked at Kent, the way he had never looked at anyone or anything besides Gotham before... And he knew that Clark Kent had captured Bruce's heart.
They are kindred souls! they must be so happy to have found each other! *sighs* Aww, man, I feel so bad for Harv, lol. He loves you, Harv! not the same way he might love Gotham or Clark, but he loves you! *wibbles*
Thank you for sharing this, Star! I really enjoyed it! Harvey fic, yay!!
