Drabble: The Sleeping Man

Michael was sleeping. Bruce was looking at him fondly. He had to have been utterly exhausted, if he had fallen asleep in the middle of doing experiments in his lab. All his T-Spheres were in a small circle around his head, lying on the desk, obediently waiting for Michael to wake up and give them new instructions. The desk was scattered with papers and books and laptops. Michael himself was lying on several papers. Bruce wondered if they would stick to his face when he woke up, or leave marks upon his face like scars, like wounds.

Bruce shook his head and removed his cape, draping it carefully over the other man, then quietly started his own experiments.

I love the image of Micheal laying there with the spheres all curled up around his head.

And I have what amounts to a kink for Bruce wrapping someone in his cape, rather or not hie's wearing it, so double yay!

I agree with Yena, the image of Michael with his spheres nearby, kind of waiting for him, is just wonderful. They seem so animated and cute the way you write them (I think Charlie would have a death-grudge with them, lol).

A sweet little moment. Bruce putting the cape over him is so adorable.

Oh, neat! I never wondered what the T-Spheres did when Michael slept, but I really should have. I wonder if they ever move when he dreams?

That thought is so Bruce. It's kind of jarring (in a good way) to go from a humorous image to his underlying anxiety about those he loves.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, this was SO. ADORABLE! The T-spheres around Michael's head are unbelievably cute, and this line was such a wonderful mix of quirky humor and something darker:
