Oh, Star, what a wonderful fic! I love the twist you put on this, with Clark being the one to reject Bruce in favor of his career. Oh, and Alan! Alan was terrific in this fic. I love how he took in Bruce. And I think this was my favorite line, actually:
Bruce clasped his hands together to stop them from trembling, and gazed at the hammered copper surface of the tiny round table they were sat at with fascination.
What a beautiful description. And I'm so glad Clark realized his mistake at the end! Although how terrible for Bruce to be put through such despair beforehand *weeps*
