I can see this moment so clearly, with Bruce's sheltering wings around the woman and Clark's spread wide in defiance.

I could see that really clearly too! Clark being all bright and glowing... :)

I really loved your reason for the dark wings and how well they fit the personalities involved. Absolutely beautiful!
