So,
jen_in_japan has been posting lots of World's Finest Comics over at (funnily enough)
worlds_finest. This made me buy the first volume of the Archive books of World's Finest. It is wonderful.
The most slashist one I have read (so far) is where a person from the future has traveled back in time. He is a historian, and has written a book on Batman and Superman. He brought this book with him, along with a video camera, so he could prove to the people in the future that things happened the way he said they did. The thing is, they didn't. He then makes Batman and Superman redo feats the way he says they should, otherwise he will reveal their secret identities. Now, Lois gets involved, and is trying desperately to get a hold of this book, but is continuously thwarted. This wouldn't be so bad buy itself, but they keep going 'But the secret! She can't find out the secret! It would be disastrous!' The thing is, they never say what this secret is, but I would think it was obvious to a slasher!
The strangest one (apart from the Aladdin one) is the one where Batman, Superman and Robin travel back in time to discover the secret of the man in the iron mask. Whist doing so, they become the three musketeers. Now, this is strange by itself, but it's even stranger if you read it out loud to yourself in a french accent!
I am definitely going to have to get Volumes 2 and 3.
