She was a precious jewel, his angel. But far more beautiful and strong than any gem.
Her eyes were brighter than the most perfect sapphire. Her hair was darker than jet. The beauty of her soul, her kindness, her love, was almost blinding, brighter than the flare of a diamond.
Steve looked down at the ring she wore on her finger. He had given it to her only a few hours ago, and, despite her joy, he could not help but still think the small gem was wholly inadequate for her.
His beautiful angel, far more precious than any jewel.

He was a precious jewel. His hair, brighter than gold, his blue eyes, more lustrous than any gem.
He, of them all, was one who was not... afraid, intimated by her, to be her lover. A mortal man daring to love her, an Amazon Princess.
Diana looked down at the ring upon her finger. The gem was smaller than almost all her other jewels, gifted by her Mother and Sisters. But that just made it all the more perfect, a precious jewel indeed, though no match at all for her golden pilot.
