I love the contradictions there, or, what sound like contradictions but make so much sense for Gotham. 'Broken and insane, whole and pure' is such a wonderful turn of phrase, and it describes what Gotham does to her children so well. They have to be broken to be remade, I guess?
That was one of my favorite lines, so I'm so pleased you picked it up! They're contradictions, but they make sense for Gotham! Yeah, they have to be - I guess everyone has to be - broken to be remade anew. You can't have any healing without pain.
