It was beautiful here. So quiet and... quaint, almost, but incredibly stunning in its own way. Diana smiled at Clark, his happy grin further lighting up the scene. Bruce was hiding in the only shadow visible, of course, and Diana's smile turned amused.
This place reminded her strongly of home, of fields full of golden corn as far as the eye could see, bending slightly in the gentle breeze. This place... it was perfect for Clark. It must be the only place for him, truly, the Kent farm in Smallville. Diana smiled again.
It was a good respite for Bruce, too. After spending so long in shadows and darkness he needed to come somewhere like this, where his soul could rest for a time. It was good for all of them, a reminder of all they fought for, all they sacrificed for.
She could feel the elements strongly around her, the rich earth beneath her feet, the breeze tangling in her hair, the fire from the sun, the water carefully stored in the corn.
Clark was ablaze with light; Bruce was swathed in shadows. Diana stood between them, the light and dark combined.
