Author's Note: For mithen! The prompt was: Clark/Bruce, please don't let me be misunderstood. I'm not very happy with this! But it's the best I can do. :( If you want something else, then just give me another prompt and I shall try again! Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct.



It was easy. So easy to be misunderstood. Especially if you were a person of few words. Who said more with silence than actual, spoken words.

It was so hard to find people who could understand you, understand everything you didn't say, didn't voice.

But when Clark met Bruce, he knew. Even though they were surrounded by other people, Bruce with two women hanging off him, somehow, when their eyes locked, they had formed an instant understanding of each other.

Clark could see Bruce's fatigue, how he desperately wanted to be anywhere else but at the party, just as he knew Bruce had understood him, how Clark had felt the same; Kal-El's aloneness.

When they were together there were never misunderstandings.

I love this idea that with just a single glance, they knew; they recognized something - or one another, even. And that there's a silent understanding between them, something no one else can be a part of. :) Well done!

I´m sure they share the feeling of loneliness, the fatigue and exasperation of having to pretend to be what they´re not.
