As for your second question; after he had woken up I knew he was a kind man, a good man. Seeing him with Alfred and Dick, seeing how happy they both were to have him in the castle made me happy, for they had both suffered so long for me, at no fault of their own. As I saw how gentle Clark was with Dick, how respectful he was toward Alfred, and how in awe he was of simple, everyday things, yet how he had a will of steel... It relived me, because I began to see that should anything ever happen to me, Alfred and Dick would be looked after, be content, with Clark. That was when I fell in love with him, I suppose, though it is very difficult to say when I actually did.
