Drabble: Eyes

He looks at me.

He thinks that I can not see him doing it.

He believes that I never notice the way his eyes linger on me far more than they do anyone else. How they instantly lay upon me when I enter a room, sometimes even before, using some strange combination of intuition, and gadgets. The way his head tilts slightly, so as to not let me out of his range of vision.

I love it when he does this. It always makes me feel like I am his, and his alone.

It makes me feel possessed, almost like he is daring someone to lay a hand on me so he can fight them for me.

I never thought that I would feel this way, that I would enjoy being thought of as a possession.

But I love it when he does it.

When we get back to the cave, and then to his room I will show him just how much I love it.

Until then, my eyes promise his, I will not let you out of my sight either.

His lips move upwards into a smirk.

This drabblet really adds new meaning to the phrase "Can't take my eyes off of you"! And it has such an understated intensity running through it, with the possessiveness. *shivers* Thanks for sharing this with all of us!

Really liked this line. I could just see Bruce in full Bat-mode, kicking some major butt.
