Drabble: Heart of Ice 2

He thinks he has a heart of ice.

We both know it is not true.

He longs for love, the feeling that only it can bring.

He pushes me away even though I can hear his repressed soul calling out to mine, begging me to do the opposite to what he says.

But I dare not, in fear that his heart of ice may shatter into a million pieces, never to be remade.

So I wait patently, and warm him with my continuous friendship, company and love.

The best thing about ice is that it can melt.
