And I quoted part of this before when I commented on this fic, but I really loved this part of your Valentine's Day fic:
But Alan said none of those things, just guided him to a small coffee shop, ordered hot chocolate for the both of them, then sat them down at a table next to the heater. Bruce clasped his hands together to stop them from trembling, and gazed at the hammered copper surface of the tiny round table they were sat at with fascination. A waitress came over and placed their mugs of chocolate in front of them. Bruce wrapped his hands around his, feeling the heat almost burning his cold hands. He wiggled his toes in his shoes, trying to get them to feel again. Although, maybe he shouldn't bother. Maybe being numb was how he was supposed to be. You could only go through so much in life before you stopped feeling, became completely unemotional in order to just survive...

So I settle for another fic : "The Runaway"
"He didn't want Clark to be one of those wounds. He was the only friend he had. And he was lonely. He just wanted someone to talk to, and Clark was the only one who could understand him. He didn't want the fight to have ruined that. He couldn't let it ruin it. Clark reminded him that it was okay to feel, and to be scared of feeling, because everyone was. Clark hadn’t looked down on him when he showed him his real face, he had just smiled a wonderful smile, like he liked Bruce. He couldn't remember the last time someone had just liked him for him, not the money and family name. But Clark had. And that was so precious to him."
There are of course so many other stories I like, the drabbles especially are often sparkling little gemstones - how fitting for a jeweller! ;)
Apart from that I apologize once more for hardly ever commenting. I noticed that I hadn´t done so even on the ones I consider my favourites, like the Valentine´s Day fic, when I was perusing the fics you posted since last December, when I first came here. I promise to do better in the future!

Aw, thank you! *hearts Alan* I like to think that he would take a sort of... special interest in Bruce, since Bruce is now Gotham's protector. :)
I'm really glad you like that part from 'The Runaway'. That's one of my favorite stories. And that's one of my favorite parts! :)
LOL, no need to worry about commenting! I understand how Real Life can get in the way of things. If I wasn't so set in a routine of commenting on stuff every night, I hardly ever would! :P

He had changed. He was older now, taller, fully grown. He was moving with unconscious grace, his every sense alert. It was the way he would always move from then on. But his eyes... his beautiful eyes. They were the same. In fact, if it was possible, they looked even more ancient and aware than before.
I know he saw me watching him for he, once again, looked right at me. As before, he bowed his head slightly, but this time, he gave me a little smile as well. I smiled back. He was back, my prince had returned. And I was going to make sure that he never left me again.
It's just...such a wonderful use of the unreliable narrator. Gotham is so joyous and unself-conscious, but we can see the dark possessiveness lurking underneath her words...and yet we can't help but adore her anyway.
