My Bruce is a bit like Hush!Bruce? That's um, a little bit weird since I've never read it, LOL.

LOL! Well, there are many cases of Bruce being "broody" and thoughtful and worried about how people see him. He's a very thoughtful character in many writers' hands!

Bruce being in character = being mean to Clark? O_o I never realized that! Maybe that's where I've been going wrong! < sarcasm>

To be fair, Bruce being mean to Clark is certainly not out of character, if by in-character you mean "having a reasonable basis in some canon portrayal." Canonically, there have been times Clark and Bruce have cordially disliked each other. If someone picks those parts of canon to focus on, their Bruce is perfectly in-character...it's just a version that appeals to some people and not to others. A warmer, more thoughtful and self-doubting Bruce is also perfectly in-character for other times in canon...and is one that some people will be interested in and others will not. :)
