Title: A Moment Before Destiny

“You hero worshiped him as a child, you know.”

“I know.” Dick responded, with an easy grin. “I can still remember when I first met him. I think I almost died.”

“Not literally, I sincerely hope,” was Alfred’s dry response, making both Bruce and Dick chuckle.

But then Bruce took a deep breath, swallowed hard.

“Okay, so you know this makes you the coolest Dad ever, right? I mean, marrying Superman? Completely awesome.”

“Well, just remember that I’m doing it all for you, Dick.”

That made Dick laugh again, and Bruce took another deep breath as the door opened, ready to face his destiny.

I loved the story Star! And I especially loved Dick’s line about “the coolest Dad ever”. Actually, they all were so amazing. Because I think Bruce was nervous (he wouldn’t be - getting married :)). But with Alfred and (especially) Dick things got easier for him. (And I’m sure he and Clark will live happily ever after :)).
