Drabble: Gotham and Sunlight
Drabble: Gotham and Sunlight

Characters: Clark, Gotham (hint of Clark/Bruce)

Gotham was sparkling in the early morning sunlight. It didn't seem right, Gotham and sunlight, let alone 'sparkling'. But there had been a heavy frost overnight, and so, the city was gleaming.
Clark looked, bemused, out of the window of Bruce's mid-town apartment. Wayne Tower dominated the skyline, its sharp point gleaming like the point of a sword. All the other buildings were its knights, ready to do its bidding.
Clark shook his head with a wry twist of his lips. This was why he hated mind control; he thought like this for days afterward. Still... perhaps he could start to see the appeal Gotham had for Bruce.
The city gleamed for a moment below him, like a wink.

Well, Gotham and sunlight may not sound right, but I love the image of sparkling Gotham. :) And those lines about Wayne Tower were so wonderfully written!

Beautiful imagery, Star! I can imagine Gotham sparkling with frost and the impressive Wayne Tower and its Knights! ;)
